Sigh!!!!!!!!!!

So its my last week with my current employer. Like anyother person in this field, i too have decided to move on to greener pastures. So Am I Excited? Am i scared? Am i sad? I guess a lil bit of everything. So lets take it one by one.

Excited: Its like your first day @ school. You, ofcourse, get excited when u think about meeting new people, new challenges and above all new (and dare i say) much improved salary. Honestly, I think people who know me will agree that it has never been for money(cuz at the end of the day anything is less :) ). Im really looking forward to new challenges and some change in work..at this moment this is what im craving for. WORK!!!!! (I Know , I know).

Scared: Well, not really. I have good 15 days between my last day and my first day at new company and i think of only 2 things when i think of those 2 dates.
A) If everything will stay like its suppose to be for these 15 days(God! i dont want any Satyam Fiasco happening with my new employer) .
and B) How am i gonna spend these 15 days *evil grin*.

Sad: I have been working here for close to 4 years now and during this time i have made some realllllly reallllly good friends.Ofcourse, there are coupla things/people that i wont like to see again but the thought of not seeing my friends everyday(or night in my case), not hanging with them from now on (not that im going outta town or something) makes me kinda sad. I know i will meet new people and will make friends with them but some people have touched my life in a way that its really hard for me to imagine my life without them. *sigh* . I guess i can call them and since i will be in "normal" shifts now(Hopefully!!!), i can always stop by and say "Hello" to them.

But hey ..lets not worry about these things ...lets plan what I can do in these 15 days....hmmmm..so i really have a lotta choices here like

  • I can go home and enjoy my stay with my family, meet my friends there and play some good Ball and enjoy some chilly weather.
  • I can go to my relatives (which i havent visited for like AGES now) who stay at the foot of Hills.. Destress my self(I always wanted to use this word Destress..), Enjoy the drives/serenic beauty....and eventually go home for coupla days and be a bummer.
  • I can goto US. Couple of my friends surely can sponsor the tickets. Hangout with them for a while, shop for days to come(its such a stressbuster ..even for men too) watch some NBA games and be a globetrotter there.
  • Or, I can stay home, here, and drink some scotches and play Guitar Hero(How exciting!!!!!)
I will keep wondering!!!Im a last minute traveller anyways.

Dev D.

I dont remember when was the last time i listened to an entire album without controlling the urge to change the track. Now that i've got myself thinking , i think Omkara was the last complete album i had heard. But Ladies and Gentlemen wait no more for the wait is over. Our Desi Romeo is back and back with a bang (quite literally too). Im not gonna tell you the backdrop of the story or on who mr. Devdas is but all i'll say is that its a modern day story of devdas.

The album has 18 songs. From the feel of it i can tell that all these will play in background. So no running behind the trees in slow motion anymore *phew*. Amit Tandon(AT) is the music director of this movie and has done a gr8 job , a job so fantastic that it has put him in a different league, in the league of directors like Vishal Bhardawaj and SEL. He has saved the best songs for himself and has done a commendable job behind the microphone.

Coming back to tracks, my personal favourite is "PARDESI" but the ones i keep listening to are Nayan Tarse, Saali Khushi, Ranjhana and how can we forgot the presleys of Patna who gave us all the ever so popular Emosanal Attyachar.

I hope that this album strikes a cord with aam junta as well cuz i personally feel that its early days for AT and commercial success is what he needs more than critical acclaim...After all "ghar main roti" chahiye usko :)

BAJATE RAHO

"Reunion"

Day1

Well they normally say that whatever you do/dont-do on the first day of the year, chances are you will do/dont-do those things the entire year

So if that was to be then i guess

  • I would be taking over the chefs hat from my wife this year, since i cooked dinner (READ MACARONI) last night.

  • I would be starving for a good Indian meal all year?????

  • I would have to spend more on Deo's and colognes since i didnt took a shower all day yday (but hey i will save some water for my fellow countrymen)

  • I didnt brushed my teeth yday (Do i really want to mention this? eeeeeeeew!!!!) so i will b eating more gums and spending more on chlormint and wrigleys(my bail-out package for US based, Recession feared companies)

But behind some stinking and disgusting facts , i did controlled some urges and saves certain resolutions from getting broken *Smirk*

  • Fought and conquered the urge of having a beer and certainly saved myself the disgrace of breaking my resolutions on the very first day (statistically that comes upto 16.66% of my Resolution list)
  • Fought the urge of having some chicken wings with home made mint sauce *slurp* (againt 16.66% of my Resolution list)
  • Offered to take my wife out to some new places (was shot down on all the occasions though)
  • Called my friends and family and wished them Happy New Year.

So all in all an okish/normal/regular/mundane day to start the year...Guess will wait for the other 364 days

HNY!!

One more year is ready to Depart, While another waits for its Start
More ups and Less downs , More Happiness and Less Frowns
More Joy and Fun is what I wish for everyone

Happy New Year!!!!!!
